    The two parts shown below are for my enterprise design project. The first one is the pedal used for opening and closing the lid. It is made out of HDPE and has a 30 lb force exerted onto the end. The second is the shelf that the motor is going to be mounted onto inside the receptacle. It is made out of LDPE. I did the analysis- because there were concerns about how well the LDPE would stand up to the forces generated by the motor.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Pro/Mechanism (Dynamic Analysis)

    Using the piston cylinder model shown above, I applied a 1300 RPM servo motor to the drive wheel and created measures to determine the connection reaction between the drive and connecting rod as well as the piston velocity.
