Statewide AutoCAD modeling competition

During my junior year of high school, I had a two hour AutoCAD drafting class and each year students entered into a statewide competition. I had already been using AutoCAD for a couple of years and had a very good understanding of the program. When I heard about the competition, I asked the instructor if I could just work on a project for the competition rather than the normal lesson plans. I was given the opportunity to work independently on the project and I chose to bring in a Holley 4-barrel carburetor take it apart and model all of the pieces. It was a very challenging task, but I was able to generate a full 3-d model and entered it into the competition and was awarded first place in the regional and state events. Below are a couple of pictures of the layout.
